Spring Break Adventure, Day 4

Thursday

Jessie and I decided on a “down” day by hitting up a couple more local shops. First was Grandma’s Attic (which didn’t have much of a selection – but oh well) where Jessie found a pretty cool fruit basket and I found a new coat for Jeff. Then, we went to the Willow Tree. This place is sooo dang cute! They have the coolest stuff and she even does sales on consignment! She’s offered me a good deal to sell some of my photos in her shop! I thought that was pretty darn neat! Here are some of the many cute things she has there:

Then we stopped by Crone’s Cupboard to check out some amazing incense and cool bumper stickers. Jessie found some unique “black salt”, which is said to ward off bad neighbors. Lol! We’ll see how well that works…

After an afternoon of shopping, we were starved! On a whim and a huge appetite for seafood, we jetted on down to our local Joe’s Crab Shack. The weather was so nice, we couldn’t resist the urge to sit outside to enjoy the warm sunshine. Jessie had chicken strips and I had Calamari with the Shrimp trio. I was in heaven, even if it was only for a half an hour…

Dinner done, we headed home to meet up with my friend Steven to end the night with a bang! In lieu of going out (as originally intended) we decided on going to the cheap seats for a good movie. It was great! With popcorn, soda, and candy in hand – we saw the movie Black Swan starring Natalie Portman. It was a good psychological thriller that kept you guessing throughout. This movie was definitely one to watch again, just to see if anything new pops out at you…

What an awesome day, even if it meant playing in our own backyard…
